Role of Admin Section:

  • To look after various aspects of personnel management of the organisation.
  • To look after Construction, Maintenance and Allotment of DAD Office/Residential Accommodation.
  • To look after aspects of Personnel Management of the organisation relating to Confirmation, Promotion and Retirement.

Admin Section Functions:

  1. General administration of the main office and 59 sub-offices.
  2. Establishment of the office and all its sub-offices.
  3. Recruitment of Gp C & D staff-Through SSC, Compassionate Appointment etc.
  4. Postings & Transfers.
    • Half yearly Inter Command.
    • Compassionate on medical grounds.
    • Station seniors Inter Command.
    • Internal upto AAO– due to administrative reasons.
  5. Promotions- Notification.
  6. Maintenance of Service documents.
  7. Temporary Duty moves.
  8. Deputation, Resignation, Vigilance.
  9. Promotions- Notification.
  10. Conduct & Discipline. Right to Information Act 2005.
  11. Immovable & Movable property permissions/returns.
  12. Annual Confidential Reports.
  13. Application for outside employment.
  14. NOC for higher studies/Passport/visiting abroad.
  15. Conducting of ROC meetings, Dealing with Association related activities.
  16. Dealing with grievances/complaints of Officers & Staff.
  17. Diarisation and distribution of Secret, Confidential, Demi-Official letters and other communications received in the office.
  18. Periodical Reports & returns.
  19. Leave.
  20. Confidential Reports.
  21. Office Security and care of office furnitures, computers, and other machines etc.
  22. Office contingency and miscellaneous expenditures.
  23. Custody, disbursement & accounting of cash.
  24. Maintenance of Cash Book and other allied registers.
  25. Work relating to HBA advances, Conveyance advance, Fan advance, Computer advance etc.
  26. Delegation of financial powers to IDAS Officers.
  27. Issue of CGHS cards and other works connected with CGHS.
  28. Publishing of Part II.O.O. in r/o Temporary duties.
  29. All work regarding DASCB.
  30. Processing of proposals for transfer of land and construction of DAD Projects.
  31. Preparation of Adjudication reports for Financial upgradations under ACP, confirmation and Promotions upto Gp ‘B’ level.
  32. Grant of Special Pay and Special Allowances Processing of Pension Papers for grant of Pension and Family Pension respecting DAD Officers and Staff of the organisation.
  33. Counting of Former Civil/Military Service with DAD Conducting of Departmental Examinations in respect of Supr (Accts) Grade Exam, SAS Preliminary Test, SAS Part – I, SAS Part – II, Written Test for Educationally qualified Gp ‘D’ Staff and Typing Test for Record Clerks.
  34. Audit and Payment of Office Contingency bills.
